E.F. Breen Ltd is known throughout the motor trade for its ability to undertake most jobs involving friction materials.

The workshop is fully equipped with reline/deline machines, shotblaster, hot wash booth, paint tank, bonding ovens and the latest relining technology from Ariel Industries Ltd being a state of the art tape fed riveting machine for relining commercial vehicle and multi axle semi-trailer brake shoes to a consistent high quality.

The whole of the premises are connected to an air extraction filtering system to ensure clean working conditions for the staff. Also, there is a separate room dedicated to glue application (for bonding), air conditioned and sealed to ensure maximum health and safety.

You are invited to inspect this facility at any time (by prior appointment) and we feel sure that you will be impressed by the high standards evident. These standards assisted E.F. Breen Ltd in achieving Gold Standard status, as specified by Federal Mogul Ltd (Ferodo).

Our reline service covers all brake shoes of any size and age – from mopeds through to commercial vehicles, steam cranes, lifts and marine anchor brake bands.

Our speciality is in veteran, vintage and classic car shoe relining. We regularly service Vintage Bentley, Lagonda and Rolls-Royce shoes and carry speciality materials for racing and sports cars such as Connaught, Jaguar C type, etc..

E.F. Breen Ltd hold a comprehensive archive of information going back to the early 1920's and we also keep a record of every job which has passed through the workshop since June 1993. So, if your shoe bears a job number, it can be traced back through the files.
